About Me

If I have a camera in my hands, I'm happy. Whether travelling on assignment for top travel and design publications or exploring on my own, I try to bring back images and stories that connect us to places. My travels take me to some of the world's most incredible wild places, and I'm honoured to have the opportunity to capture and share the stories with the world.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown, I moved to New York full-time and began my travel journalism journey. I've waxed poetic about travel, food, drink, design and architecture, beauty, and more for CNN Travel, Architectural Digest, Travel + Leisure, Vogue Living, Wine Enthusiast, Atlas Obscura, Robb Report, My Domaine, and Good Food.

I returned to Australia in 2021 to bring Thrillist Australia to life amid a pandemic, but three years later, the La Dolce Vita called me to Italy, where I reside with my pro golfer, husband-to-be.

My chosen career path has taken me to many places. I've mountain biked through New Zealand's south island, hiked mountains in Antigua, met game-changing distillers and vintners worldwide, and dined with celebrities, including a tequila tasting with Nick Jonas. I've dredged oysters from the ocean, dived with great white sharks, and have been lucky enough to be invited into the kitchens of some of the world's best chefs.

I'm an author of Lonely Planet's latest Sydney Pocket Guidebook (published, Sept 2024), editor of Top Australian Homes, and have a monthly travel column on The Latch, among a few other book projects, coming soon.

Though journalism takes precedence in my life, I'm also a photographer. My photos have been published in print and online magazines around the world. I believe creativity knows no bounds; if we let it, it can take us to amazing places.
